Pierce County Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial citizen body which is appointed by the County Board of Commissioners. The Board of Adjustment has three basic functions; to hear requests from citizens for variances, make map interpretations and to consider appeals from citizens regarding interpretation of zoning regulations by the County's Zoning Administrator. Public hearings are held to gather facts and the decision of the Board of Adjustment is rendered in writing.
